About Maria

Born near the Gulf of Salerno, Italy. She worked in Zurich, Switzerland in a fine-dining restaurant named Da Nino. Maria came to America in the late 70’s, she worked at the Gordon Blue in New York and also at the Bear Mountain Inn in New York. Maria obtained her degree from the Culinary Institute of America, and her certification from The American Chef Federation as an Executive Pastry Chef. She owned and operated Pastry by Giordano in the Egypt Mall for a time. She also received "Chef of the Year" award in 1994 along with many other awards for excellent work in service. She has been featured in countless newspapers and Philadelphia Bride’s Magazine, National Baking Magazine and The Perfect Wedding Book. She has been living and working at 240 Willow Road since 1984.
